The core of the course is a 3-part documentary film set in the Highlands of New Guinea. SPANISH-ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS Tuesdays 12.40 - 13.45 On completing this beginners’ course, you should be able to get by when on holiday in everyday situations. SPANISH - POST BEGINNERS Mondays 12.50 - 13.55 A continuation of first year studies above. Oral exercises are part of he lesson. SPANISH CONVERSATION Wednesdays, fortnightly 10.00 - 11.30 Can you speak a little Spanish? You may forget it if you don’t use it, so come along and do just that. SPANISH-INTERMEDIATE Thursdays 11.30 - 12.35 Practice and proficiency on spoken communication. This class is for those who have been learning Spanish for a year. SPANISH ADVANCED Wednesdays 11.30- 12.35 A review of the Spanish press over the previous week with selected articles on domestic and international topics etc. SPANISH LITERATURE Thursdays 10.20 - 11.25 Reading and discussion. If you would like to have a glimpse into Latin American and Spanish Literature, come and join us. SPANISH PHILOLOGY Wednesdays, fortnightly 12.40 - 13.45 Masculino, femenino y neutro - todo lo que usted siempre ha querido saber y nunca se ha atrevido a preguntar. TAI CHI A Tuesdays 12.40 - 13.45 For those who have never (or hardly) done Tai Chi before, to prepare participants for Tai Chi B . TAI CHI B Tuesdays 13.50 - 14.55 For more advanced students. This year we will attempt the Yang-style short form. TAP DANCING Mondays 14.00 - 15.05 You too can be Ginger Rogers or Fred Astaire. It’s not fast or furious—all you need is a sense of rhythm and a sense of fun. THEATRE DISCUSSION GROUP Mondays, monthly 11.40 - 12.45 At each meeting, the group will select plays currently showing and discuss them four weeks later. VOICE MATTERS Tuesdays 13.50 - 14.55 Basic exercises on posture, breathing, articulation and resonance will address underlying tensions and unhelpful vocal habits. WALKS ON THURSDAYS Various Thursdays A programme which includes inner London’s green spaces as well as country rambles and riverside walks. Distances range from about three to eight miles.. WINE APPRECIATION Thursdays, monthly 18.30 - 20.30 by arrangement You do not need to know anything about wine but GO FOR IT! There will be a charge of £10 per session to cover costs and include cheese and biscuits. WRITE YOUR LIFE STORY Fridays 10.30 - 12.15 and Tuesdays 11.30 - 12.35 This class is run to encourage you to write your life story – every life is unique and therefore worth recording. WRITERS’ WORKSHOP Tuesdays 13.50 - 16.05 We are a small and friendly group who endeavour to help one another with wring of all kinds. WRITING CREATIVELY Thursdays 10.45 - 12.35 Creative writing sessions incorporating reminiscence anecdotes, life stories, creative ideas. If you can talk, you can write. YARN-CRAFT WORKSHOP Mondays 14.00 fortnightly Come and share your experiences of knitting crochet, embroidery, tapestry, sewing etc. Beginners very welcome. YIDDISH FOR FUN Tuesdays 12.40 - 13.45 Conversation and songs with a Yiddish speaker. I want you to come out happy and smiling. YOGA INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED Mondays 11.40 - 12.45 This is a well established class for people who practise yoga regularly. YOGA BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE 1 Thursdays 10.20 - 11.25 For beginners to intermediate levels. Please bring your own mat and wear comfortable clothes. YOGA BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE 2 Fridays 10.30 - 11.30 Learn a few basic postures and how to relax and breathe properly.
